
Theophlius Watson is the Care Coordination Supervisor at the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System, where he oversees social work staff across multiple departments including primary care, emergency services, and spinal cord injury care. A dedicated VA professional since 2015, his experience spans programs like Home Based Primary Care, Medical Foster Home, and Suicide Prevention, where his leadership helped elevate the West Texas MFH program to a Level 3 Facility.
Mr. Watson actively contributes to the VA healthcare community through roles on the Primary Care Council, Disruptive Behavior Committee, and as co-lead of the Care Coordination Review Team. He has been recognized with the HeRO Award and MST Sustained Excellence Award for his outstanding service.
Licensed in Texas and New Mexico, he is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on its Education Committee. As an executive member of the Association of VA Social Workers, he is the apprentice Congressional and Legislative Liaison, set to assume the primary role in 2025.
Outside of the VA, Mr. Watson serves as Board President of the Greater Waco YMCA (2022–2025), leading efforts that raised over $8 million for a facility refresh and secured more than $60,000 in grants. He became Budget and Finance Chair in 2025 and was honored as the 2024 Board Member of the Year.
