The Social Work Qualification Standards have been released.
At the beginning of the year the AVASW began following the release of the Social Work Qualification Standards. This has been a long anticipated release which has been held up in the system for quite some time.
In July the AVASW began official inquiries about the Qualification Standards through advocacy with the national office and official letters requesting the release on behalf of our members and all VA Social Workers. We were delighted to hear we would receive an official answer for our query by the end of August and even more excited for the official release this week.
Hopefully these standards have reached you at your facility, or will quickly next week. However, if you have not been able to access them through your VA, you can find them on our "Members Only" tab under "VA Social Work Documents.
