Being Thankful in 2020

This year has been a challenge to say the least. But as we approach the Holiday Season, I wanted to share what I am most thankful for.

  1. My new husband - he is my best friend.

  2. My children and grandchildren - they are my joy.

  3. Living in a country where we can make choices even though it is chaotic sometimes.

  4. Working with and for Veterans - my heroes and heroines that are living history; and

  5. My wonderful friends and mentors with the AVASW who have always been supportive and welcoming. There have been so many of you all through the years, I am blessed to be a part of this wonderful group of Social Workers. They have opened the doors for me to work with other groups such as the SW LC Strategic Communications Committee and on other projects.

Thank you and stay safe.
